| CTA President David Goldberg addresses issues in our education system and the constant fight for educator's rights. An educator for more than 20 years, David has spent most of his career as a bilingual teacher at Murchison Elementary in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). In addition to English, he is fluent in both Spanish and sign language. Goldberg has a long history of union activism. In addition to serving two terms on the CTA Board, he also served as treasurer of the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and was the youngest executive officer to ever hold office in that union.

| How can we create an inclusive campus for students with special needs? How can we make these students feel like they are a part of the campus? Many special education teachers complain about general education teachers not including "their" students in general education classrooms but what can we do as a special education teacher to create a campus climate that is inclusive for ALL students? | Asian American and Pacific Islander histories and experiences have been absent from our history books and core education. Foundations and Futures will change that as the most comprehensive curriculum free and online for high school and early college students that includes teacher training support and lesson plans to launch in 2025.
This workshop will introduce this groundbreaking resource that features 50 chapters and 200 accompanying teacher guides which meets the Ethnic Studies graduation requirements in California. There will be a demonstration of the Japanese Incarceration lesson, and how to access this resource.
