CTA President David Goldberg addresses issues in our education system and the constant fight for educator's rights. An educator for more than 20 years, David has spent most of his career as a bilingual teacher at Murchison Elementary in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). In addition to English, he is fluent in both Spanish and sign language. Goldberg has a long history of union activism. In addition to serving two terms on the CTA Board, he also served as treasurer of the United Teachers of Los Angeles (UTLA) and was the youngest executive officer to ever hold office in that union.
