Breaking Down Invisible Walls with Effective Co-Teaching and Responsible Inclusion

Teachers may feel unprepared to address the diverse needs of students in an inclusive classroom. Special Education teachers may not have sufficient training in adapting materials, and General Education teachers may not feel equipped to support students with various learning styles and abilities. Without proper training, there may be inconsistencies in how the inclusion model is implemented across classrooms. This can lead to variations in the quality of support provided to students with special needs, impacting their overall experience and learning outcomes. This session will focus on inclusive teaching strategies, differentiation, collaboration, and understanding diverse learning needs. Adding to current teacher's knowledge and tools needed to thrive in inclusive classrooms while fostering a supportive and collaborative educational environment. Both presenters strongly believe that ongoing support and mentorship can also play a crucial role in sustaining effective inclusive practices in schools.
