Charmen is a special education teacher who is passionate about equity, especially for women and girls and other marginalized populations in our communities. She has been involved in advocacy work for years, with a father who was a lobbyist to her own work through the organization, AAUW. She also enjoys teaching parents how to advocate for their children with special challenges and considers it part of her job. Charmen has been teaching for over 16 years and has two sons and one grandchild.
