Achieving our vision of the public education all California students deserve requires not only the unity and activism of our members, but the partnerships we form with parents and community groups. In this workshop, we will outline the basic steps for building effective partnerships. We’ll look at practical ways to identify existing connections with parents and parent groups within your membership. And, we’ll discuss and practice effective conversations to listen and learn about the values and concerns of parents and parent organizations as well as sharing our union’s values and vision.
