Often, we hear that we need to know our students. What does that mean? What are some examples of how to get to know our students? How long does it take to know our students? Do we know who they are and where they come from? Students often do not even know where they come from, so how can we overcome that? What are some ways to be Culturally Responsive to our students and our teaching practices? Teachers will be provided with ideas and strategies on how to be more Culturally Relevant in their classrooms. I will provide specific strategies and examples that can be integrated into 1-12 grade levels. Teachers will leave the session with ready-to-implement classroom ideas and strategies.
